How to Download Oracle CPU's/PSU's

This article shows how to download Oracle CPU's/PSU's from Oracle, as Broadcom no longer provides these packages in the Broadcom Support Portal.

1. Go to the Oracle Security Alerts Bulletin for latest Patch Updates: https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/

2. Scroll to the "Critical Patch Updates" section, and select the desired patch update which will take you to the Patch Update Advisory:

 3. In the Patch Update Advisory under the "Affected Products and Patch Information" section search for "Oracle Database Server", and select the Patch Availability Document by clicking "Database" on the right:

4. You will be prompted to sign in with your Oracle account. Sign in under the "Support for Oracle Hardware, Software..." section:

5. This is the Patch Availability Document which provides links to download each patch component separately:

6. Search for "Oracle Database 19" section, which will list the patches for "Oracle Database Server home":

7. Locate the Patches for "Database Release Update", "OJVM Release Update", and "JDK", under "Oracle Database Server":

Select the Patch Number links from the left side as underlined, to open the Patch component in a new tab.

8. In the Patch Availability Document search for the "OPatch" section, and click the Patch Number link to open in a new tab:

To review, the patch components needed are "Database Release Update", "OJVM Release Update, "JDK", and "OPatch".

9. Once you have opened the Patch Component, take note of the "Platform" version, as a lot of times it defaults to an incorrect version:

On the left side under "Patch Search Results" scroll and select "Linux x86-64".

You should now see correct platform version to download:

(you will need to do this for each patch component)

10. Select "Download", then click the file link to begin download:

Now that you have the patches downloaded, you can apply each patch manually on the server, or apply all using the automated Oracle PSU Script
